Holiday home on the vineyard - Quinten on Lake Walen - only accessible by boat or on footBeautifully situated house (140m2) on the sunny southern slope of the Churfirsten, 200m from Quinten harbour. Panoramic view of Lake Walen, the Glarus Alps, Murg Valley and Flumser Mountains to the south and the steeply rising Churfirsten to the north. We rent our holiday home privately to families, hikers and people seeking relaxation who want to enjoy the unique location and the special microclimate of Quinten. Comfortably furnished Bright, beautifully furnished living and dining room with Swedish stove and full view of Lake Walen. Large terrace with dining table. Well-equipped kitchen. One large bedroom, one large bedroom and playroom and large bathroom/WC on the upper floor. Two rooms (11m2 each) and shower/WC in the basement. Outdoor sauna on the lower terrace. The WLAN is also suitable for home office. Spacious garden There is plenty of space to play and relax in the garden. Around 70 vines grow at the top end of the garden, which are pressed into an excellent Pinot Noir as part of the neighbouring vineyard. Depending on the season, wild strawberries, blackberries and figs also ripen in the garden. The view from the upper garden square with its pizza oven and trampoline is impressive with the steeply rising Churfirsten mountains. With a bit of luck, you may also find four-leaf clover in the extensive meadow lawn. A small bathing area (pebble beach) is about 100 metres away on the lake. There are other bathing spots on the lake in the surrounding area. Quinten can only be reached by boat or on foot. The scheduled boat Quinten-Murg calls at Quinten all year round, over 20 times a day in the summer months (approx. 12 times a day in winter). From Quinten harbour to the house it is a 200m uphill walk. All usual additional costs are included in the rental price (heating, bed linen, towels, water and electricity).Other sports and leisure facilities: There is a large trampoline in the garden. Starting point for hikes Wonderful hikes are possible from or to Amden, Weesen and Walenstadt (2-3 hours each). There are easy walks along the paths in the village, in the vineyards, to the two restaurants and to Au (30 minutes). The village of around 50 inhabitants is also known as the "Ticino of Eastern Switzerland": its unique south-facing location in front of the protective steep faces of the Churfirsten mountains, which are over 2100 metres high, gives the village at 430 metres above sea level a mild climate in which figs, kiwis and other exotic plants thrive alongside excellent wine. Quinten is car-free and a popular destination for hikes. In the centre of the village by the harbour there is a chapel, two restaurants with fish specialities (one of which is open all year round), a "Kellerlädeli" with Quinten specialities, a gift and souvenir shop and a wine cellar. There is a supermarket about 200 metres from the Murg West harbour on the opposite shore of the lake. Quinten can only be reached by boat or on foot. Na bevestiging van de boeking moet binnen tien dagen een aanbetaling van 20% gedaan worden van de totale huursom. Vervolgens moet de tweede betaling uiterlijk 42 dagen voor vertrek worden voldaan. Indien u vertrekt binnen zes weken dan moet het volledige bedrag direct worden voldaan.
